TAPE Awarded $3.4M ICE Workplace Scheduling System Task Order on the VETS 2 Contract

September 22, 2020

Alexandria, Va. – Technical and Project Engineering, LLC (TAPE) announced today that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Office of Asset and Facilities Management (OAFM) awarded the company a task order contract on the Veterans Technology Services 2 (VETS 2) vehicle. The task order has a one-year base period of performance with four one-year option periods for a total potential value of $3.4 million.

OAFM is responsible for safely and sustainably acquiring and maintaining ICE space. As part of OAFM’s Workplace Transformation Initiative to support current and future work trends, TAPE and its subcontractor AgilQuest Corporation (AgilQuest) will provide an on-demand workplace resource scheduling system. The two companies will provide Forum, a cloud-based, software-as-a-system platform that will increase ICE employees’ workplace choices by enabling them to reserve a workspace that best meets their needs. While the current contract is a pilot for a future office in Irving, Texas, OAFM is considering whether to provide a similar system to all agency employees. The scope of the work includes:

  • Transition
  • Project Management
  • Requirement Gathering
  • Design
  • Development and Testing
  • Implementation
  • Operations and Maintenance
  • Documentation

DHS agencies account for most of TAPE’s non-Department of Defense work. We currently support the Transportation Security Administration as a prime on a VETS 2 task order and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services as a subcontractor on a Program Management, Administrative, Operations and Technical Services II task order. We previously provided Risk Management Framework and cybersecurity assessments for the ICE Security Assurance & Risk Management Branch and managed security adjudication applications for the ICE Personnel Security Unit. The OAFM award is TAPE’s third under VETS 2 and second within one week.

TAPE CEO and President Louisa Long Jaffe stated, “TAPE is honored once again to support ICE and increase its portfolio of both DHS and technical solutions work. With the COVID-19 crisis currently, and perhaps permanently, transforming the Federal Government workspace, TAPE and AgilQuest look forward to helping increase work flexibility for ICE employees.”
